Our Story
Perfect Strides Veterinary Physiotherapy is owned and run by masters level qualified, insured, and RAMP accredited Veterinary Physiotherapist India Gwillim (IMSc Veterinary Physiotherapy, MVetPhys, MRAMP).
My love for horses started at age 5 and from my very first day at the riding school I was hooked. I got my first pony when I was 8, and in the time that I had him we competed in all pony club activities, as well as lots of in-hand and ridden showing. At age 15 it was time for me to find a new equine partner, and that is when I came across Oz, a 16.1hh thoroughbred ex-racehorse who I have had now for over 6 years. We have completed all pony club activities, plenty of ODE’s and hunter trials, show jumping, and more recently we have found our dancing shoes competing at Novice level dressage.
As well as having horses for most of my life, in 2015, my family and I brought our first dog Frank, a Sealyham Terrier X Jack Russel, we have had him for six years now and he is an absolute bundle of joy, we don’t know what we would do without him.
The desire to work with animals from a young age, led me to pursue a career within the veterinary industry, and after completion of my A Levels, it was decided that I would go on to study an Integrated Masters in Veterinary Physiotherapy at Writtle University College, in Essex. Throughout my four years of study, the amount I learnt both practically and theoretically shaped me to become the physiotherapist that I am today; not only this but it also further cemented the importance of physiotherapy for both recovery and general maintenance, thus Perfect Strides Veterinary Physiotherapy was born.
